$18 Offering for Art Members
Archetypes are universal psychological and spiritual patterns of consciousness that impact our thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
These archetypes have existed for centuries and are depicted in art and mythology. When active in our lives, each archetype is an inner guide bringing us closer to a more authentic way of being.
When inactive, the shadow form, which contains either untapped creative potential or repressed psychological material, disconnects us from our wholeness.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to more closely commune with one of your archetypal energies through various psychic explorations. These include mediation, collage, poetry and dialoging with the Self. The 12 common archetypes under exploration include: Idealist, Realist, Caregiver, Warrior, Seeker, Lover, Destroyer, Creator, Ruler, Magician, Sage & Jester.
All participants will complete an archetypal assessment to identify which archetypes are most and least active in their lives.
No knowledge of archetypes or experience with poetry needed.
Some materials will be provided. You will be invited to bring your own pen/journal, as well as magazine clippings that resonate with you for a collage.
Offered in-person with social distancing (masks required).
