Dharma Yoga is a graceful, yet challenging form of yoga based on Sri Dharma Mitra’s almost fifty years of practice of classical yoga.
The practice is appropriate for students of all levels, from beginner to lifelong practitioners and accessible to so many because it meets each student where they are and according to their condition. As students move through the different series, they are encouraged to go deeper and experience the practice in a meditative and spiritual way.
In essence, Dharma Yoga is a system of classical Hatha-Raja Yoga. A devotional practice that emphasizes good heath, a clear mind, and a kind heart. This method weaves together many teachings in order to bring all students to the goal of self realization(gaining absolutely knowledge of the true self).
Pranayama and Savasana will be included in this practice.
Meet Marissa… Once working in a 9-5 career, Marissa chose to leave it behind to focus on her own personal yoga practice, without the intention of becoming a yoga teacher. Immediately after receiving her 200 RYT she began teaching, wanting to bring the peace and clarity she felt from her yoga practice to others. A few years later she went on to receive her 500 RYT through Sri Dharma Mitra, her practice and teachings then began to evolve into a deeper more spiritual practice. She is forever grateful to share Sri Dharma Mittra’s physical and spiritual teachings with others. “Everything is perfect, that is the beauty of yoga; to bring out consciousness to this level.” Sri Dharma Mittra
