With Intentions Holistic Studio
with Amanda Fresnics
Thursday, August 27th at 7:00pm
In-studio or Online (Zoom)
Native Americans believed long ago in the healing power of intention and manifestation. We have since learned that through the process of handcrafting a Dreamcatcher, one is positively impacted by the healing effects of engaging in the fiber arts.
Research shows that crafting has a lot in common with meditation and can improve problem-solving skills, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve overall quality of life. Fiber arts are amongst the most healing of all crafts, as there is a poetic essence to the repetitive motions used in the fiber arts, such as knitting, crochet, weaving, quilting, and sewing.
While knitting a scarf or quilting a blanket are equally as beautiful crafts, dreamcatchers are packaged in layers of hope and spiritual symbolism.
Dreamcatchers are, in essence, a symbol of peace, transformation, and healing.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to mindfully awaken your creativity to design & weave your very own dreamcatcher.

Amanda Fresnics is a compassionate companion to those on their healing journey. As a graduate from OneSpirit Learning Alliance’s (OSLA) InterSpiritual Counseling (ISC) program, she provides spiritually-oriented therapy with Wholehearted Healing Collective. Amanda believes that ceremony, ritual and nature are an important aspect of healing and incorporates this into every facet of her personal and professional life.
In 2018, Amanda paired up with Kristy Mathews, MS, LPC, NCC, owner of Dreamantra, to offer dreamcatcher workshops to facilitate creative healing. In her free time, Amanda loves spending time in nature, cooking, repurposing trash into treasure and dancing in her kitchen. The name Amanda translates “to worthy of love”. Cultivating this understanding and teaching others to do the same is a part of her life’s work.
